This is one of my oldest paintings. It is one of the first few abstract paintings that I tried on a cardboard cut out. I had so much fun working on this painting.
Pastel colors have a mellow feel to them. It reminds me of European countries and the vibe of those cities.
These shades are classic, and one cannot go wrong with them, no matter what one creates with them. This painting was done before I began using a palette knife. I have used a brush to apply strokes that may seem random, however, I followed my artistic radar.
I find the green shades to be quite complimenting. They bring a new perspective to the color pink. I find pastels to be a version of a warm, human hug because they feel warm and soft to my senses.
I am the kind of HSP that loves hugs and hugging. To me, this painting is a perfect representation of my way of expressing love.
How about you? What does this painting remind you of? What are your thoughts about it? Are you someone who identifies as a highly sensitive person (HSP)?
Also, are you a hugger?
I would love to know.
