Although I identify as a woman, my masculine part is significant to me and others.
I've often been in situations, wherein, I had to protect men, women, and children. Most importantly, I have a beautiful broad stature that I love and that either makes others feel safer or intimidated.
Recently, I've been asking myself if my masculine part is highly sensitive too.
I do feel it is, probably more than my feminine part.
I am not a man (identity-wise).
I do feel that highly sensitive men need to be educated as much as highly sensitive women.
The need for awareness is high, as men are taught and expected to be strong. Here, when I say strong, I mean men are often expected to ignore their emotions.
Ignorance is not strength.
The most common emotion associated with men is mostly anger, given that we do live in a male-dominated world.
However, men could also have other emotions such as sadness, disappointment, joy, love, pain, and many more.
I've noticed that my masculine part tends to express itself by being more independent during hardships. I often hear myself saying, 'I need to do this on my own, as ....'. This usually happens when I feel intense emotions that I hesitate to express to myself.
Again, all highly sensitive men may express themselves differently during various scenarios. However, the point is that masculine personalities must be given an inclusive room to show vulnerability.
I find that abstract art gives one the room to express vulnerability.
I know that one would have more clarity about situations if they allowed their masculine part to express vulnerability through abstract art.
So, if you are a highly sensitive man or woman wishing to express your masculine side, please know that abstract art can help you with it.
