It is funny how moods can change within a few minutes or hours. Yesterday, I danced merrily many times, and today, I feel overwhelmed by empathizing with many situations.
So, this post is a reminder for you and me about cherishing the colors and moments that make us happy.
Yesterday, there were many mini-happy moments that made me smile. Among them were children running around in the corridors, my funky dance in a body movement event, a pleasant smile from my driver, and me screaming 'I love you' at an abstract art painting.
I am participating in an art competition and have been preparing for it. The preparation makes me cherish the happiness abstract art brings into my life. The painting I am submitting is filled with bright colors and wild brush strokes. I think about it, and it instantly brings hope to me.
As a highly sensitive person, the sheer joy of immersing myself in bright colors makes me gleam.
I am sensitive to colors. Specifically, the effects of yellow, red, and blue are powerful to me. They truly uplift my mood.
The highly sensitive nervous system is such that it can be positively impacted by colors.
As physics goes, all colors have a wavelength. I do wonder if these wavelengths impact the nervous system of highly sensitive people slightly differently than they would in a person who isn't highly sensitive. I haven't researched it as yet, but it would be a good topic to delve into!
Bright colors like yellow make me smile. My brain always says 'yay!' after using yellow in my art. What colors affect your mood, or what color makes you happy, even if it were for a mini moment?
I'm going to continue working on my art competition. Meanwhile, I hope you get to find your color!
Wish me luck :).
