This painting is a true expression of my state of mind if I am experiencing overwhelm or sadness, especially when it is caused by others emotions and distressing situations.
I painted this abstract work to express my emotions when I was also feeling others emotions in my body. It is not always pleasant to feel others emotions in one's body. It gives me this sensation of severe overwhelm, as if, there is a fast racing fountain pouring inside-out.
The blues in my artwork are my emotions (the darker blue shades being the more stronger emotions). The green shades could be my roots trying to bring me back to equilibrium. I'd consider the white colors to be my inspiration that nudge me to keep moving forward creatively, despite my obstacles.
I wonder, are you a fellow HSP/empath? What would you do during overwhelm and sadness (not just your own, but even others)?
I paint it all out! I find it creative, emotional, and it feels like me!
I'd love to know what you do when you feel overwhelmed.
