When I look at this painting, I see earth, water, and a feather.
I find that both the earth (that is, the ground) and water (that is, the water that I utilize to drink, bathe, and soak my feet in) can support me in feeling centered and calm.
I also find feathers to be inspiring.
Together, they form a soothing and relaxing combination. I love the colors in my artwork, as they make my eyes feel less stimulated and leave a rejuvenating effect on my facial muscles.
If I remember correctly, I had a half-formed idea when I began painting. I had a vision for this piece of artwork. I wanted to bring out the parts of me that inherently knew the solution to stay more balanced, grounded, and centered.
I also think of algae when I see this painting (it must be my scientific brain telling me: hey! I am right here too :p).
I wonder what else could this painting be (for me and you)?
